My mother, after dropping out of school in 8th grade, eventually went on to earn a Bachelor's degree in Psychology. 

My mother yearned to give me, in a sense, the whole world. She wanted to outfit her little girl with a wild imagination, a strong will to discover, a curiosity about the world, and the spunk to explore it. My heart soars with thanks...
