Words for the Weekend

Rude drivers, long lines at the store and post office, Amazon jacking up prices because they can. Ugly Christmas Sweater parties, obnoxious lawn ornaments abounding, let's not lose our sense of humour in it all.

Drink some eggnog, fling some icicles on the tree, buy the dog a Christmas outfit, go sit on the knee of the mall Santa and tell him you want world peace, especially if you haven't done so in awhile. Read A Christmas Carol, to yourself or borrow some little people. Wrap a few presents while listening to Michael Buble or Frank Sinatra Christmas. Decorate a gingerbread house and watch White Christmas or Elf or Home Alone. Stick some money in an envelope and mail it to someone who needs it. Doing so anonymously will be more fun.

Eleven days til Christmas which comes only once a year. Let's enjoy every minute of it.

"It is a fair, even-handed, noble adjustment of things, that while there is infection in disease and sorrow, there is nothing in the world so irresistibly contagious as laughter and good humour."
